Why Your Business Needs a Fan Page

Your business has to advertise and this can take many forms. Traditionally this was opening an office, creating business cards, and taking out ad space in the Yellow Pages of the phone book. It has also moved into creating a website and taking advantage of social media.
Facebook is social media. It is an interactive way to stay engaged with people who are interested in your products and services. The statistics of people using Facebook today are huge. Worldwide there are 2.01 billion monthly users https://zephoria.com/top-15-valuabl... .
Still, that being said that won't impact your business much if say you are a local hairdresser. For that, you need a targeted audience of people in your area right? It is helpful though if you record music and can sell to anyone who loves your tunes.
The power of Facebook Fan Pages is huge. From a large company like Target department store to a local hair dresser you can target your audience with Facebook. You can create an online presence, stay engaged with your people, make offers, schedule events, stay in touch with the other businesses you work with, share content, book appointments, receive payments, get real time messages and much more.
What is also powerful is you can schedule posts. An Example is to sit down once a week or once a month and plan out what is going to be happening in that month. All business do this on some level. Instead of worrying about remembering what you need to tell your audience each day you can use your scheduling tools in your Facebook Fan Page to load up your posts for the week, or the month in advance. It is no more difficult than writing a post, but you use the internal calendar to say when that post will show up. That is it.
The same thing with events. Say you are a realtor and you are holding several open house sessions in the month. Instead of adding to your long list of things to do "remember to post on FB open house for XYZ address" you can just load up your events calendar as you know the times and dates and it is saved there for your audience. You can use the events tool and the scheduled posts tool to make sure that you are notifying your audience of the upcoming event when you want to, when they will see it, all in advance.
You have many tools in FBFP that will allow you to understand the demographics of your audience as well. You will know their gender, age, where they live, what languages they speak and so on from their self-reported profiles. This allows you to understand your audience and engage with them more effectively.
You have the ability in FBFP to use paid advertising to targeted markets. To set up autoresponders to messages. To sell goods and services and receive payment through apps and tools. There is really not many limits to the reach and power of FB marketing. You also have the ability to add other applications into your FBFP like incorporating PayPal and linking other accounts you may have to your FBFP so you create a web of social media and marketing going hand in hand.
That said setting your account up right is a key, so is beating the learning curve and having someone guide you to get started in the right manner and being there for you if you have a question. That is what my offer is.
That said it is important to understand some rules. It is against Facebook policy to use a personal account for business. A normal FB page is for a person only, not for a business, not for a pet, and not to receive personal gain. In a word, it is against FB policy to have more than one personal account, to open an account under a fake name, to open an account as a business and also to do marketing on a personal account. That is why if you are selling something you need to open a personal account first and then create a Fan Page AKA Business Page for your business. If you are cited by Facebook as running or attempting to run a business from a personal page they can delete your account and ban you.
Also if you are in an MLM, multi-level marketing company you are not supposed to run that through Facebook. I am learning more about this. Some circle around this rule by starting a group page. Again this is an area I am studying. For example though if you are in Amway it is my understanding you cannot use a Fan Page to market that business nor can you use your personal page to market that business. So for the moment, I will not work with people building a page where their product or service is MLM.
You can have more than one Fan Page. Say you do property management, but also you sell handmade ceramics, there is no rule that keeps you limited to one page.
My offer is to create your Fan Page with you. I have to work with you because if I create a page for you then I own it. There are a few buttons you will have to push but I will hold your hand and walk you through which buttons you need to push. I will have you add me as an Admin to the page so I can go in and set it up. You will have to upload your own photos, forms and so on. The basic thing is I will be your teacher, coach, and basic programmer but there will be things you need to do also because you own the page. It would do no good at all to just create a page for you and you be clueless as to what is going on.
